Chef Lee Won Il's fiancée Kim Yoo Jin PD hospitalized after suicide attempt, her family will be taking legal action against the bullying allegations and for defamation

The following post mentions sui*cide and bullying. If you're uncomfortable by this content, I'd recommend that you do not continue reading since many of the comments do not sympathize with Kim Yoo Jin PD.

Like I always say, please do not use these comments to generalize the entire country of South Korea.

t/n: Kim Yoo Jin's cousin brother (Lee) informed Yonhap News on the 4th, "Around 3 AM this morning, her family discovered her after she attempted sui*cide. She was transferred to a university hospital via ambulance. She is currently unconscious."

Her cousin Lee also revealed the post she uploaded on her private social media account before she made the sui*cide attempt. Chef Lee Won Il also follows this account. On this day, Kim Yoo Jin posted, "Because the injustice was relieved, I just hope there will be no further losses to chef Lee Won Il and the families of the two of us. I'll bring everything with me and leave. My future husband has been suffered because of me. In addition, whatever the reason is, there were school friends getting hurt because of me. I uploaded an apology letter with that thought. When the self-proclaimed victim framed other's actions as mine, I called the person who did that. And even though I saw that person's dodging attitude, I thought we were friends, so I didn't expose anything. When chef Lee Won Il had to write an apology for something he didn't do, when I had to suppress my resentment and the sense of guilt for my parents and future parents-in-law to post the apology letter, I really just wanted to die. A friend who claimed to be a victim continuously called me up and sent threatening texts to me through acquaintances. If I'd clarified everything from the beginning, would you guys have believed me? Would the stigma with my name attached to it disappear in chef Lee Won Il's life? I apologize to everyone. I'll disappear forever carrying this unfairness. I'd like to tell those who sit at home and judge everything via a computer keyboard to stop judging others with your personal opinion." (cr. 1. [+14993 / -1691] She's making the other party feel guilt with the sui*cide attempt. She's even doing a second round of harm....
↪ [+187 / -18] Good criticism
↪ [+418 / -15] Physically assaulting someone while ostracizing them is an act of murder. That kid can forever live with social phobia
↪ [+249 / -56] Writing comments like this is no different from murder
↪ [+137 / -5] If she didn't do it then she could've just argued that she didn't do it. If she did do it, she should've sincerely apologized. Why do they always try to resolve it in a different way? That goddamn pride is the problem

2. [+762 / -72] There's a lot of kids who commit school violence right now too, right? During that time, you thought you guys were the king but once you join society, don't try to become famous or even think of joining politics, just live quietly

3. [+3796 / -240] She's a really scary person... A second round of harm (t/n: the original third and fourth comment was removed by Naver's moderating system. That's why the upvote changed drastically from the second comment to this comment and the next one)

4. [+2248 / -12] People who weren't ostracized or experienced school experience, don't understand. The 16 year old victim at the time also wanted to attempt sui*cide and die

5. [+1698 / -13] Whether you were the leader or not, the fact that you, Kim Yoo Jin, was in that violent gang means that is was the truth since you were 16 years old. While in that [gang], you guys targeted a lot of people and whether it was the leader or the members, I'm sure it's true that you guys went around assaulting people, verbally abusing them, and threatening them. What kind of excuse is this? From the victim's circumstances (the person who reported this), why do you think they would've brought up their painful past? The things that the perpetrators can't remember are things that forever become a wound to the victim. You might want to sweep your past under the rug and live but the past does not go away and is certainly bound to come back - it's karma. I hope you're not acting to receive comfort for your crime.

6. [+1557 / -8] With school violence, the rule is that it's always the person who does the beating that doesn't remember but the person who receives the beating will never forget

7. [+1529 / -17] Comments criticizing the victim is slowly starting to appear. People who have experienced this (bullying) don't know. That this trauma can control your entire life. Even you give birth to a kid, that trauma grows twice as big. But imagine if your bully shows up on media (e.g. TV) and appears happily. That's like depriving a person of their right to forget about it (the bullying). You're asking if you should block a person from their future because of something that occurred in the past? You shouldn't talk that lightly because it's someone else's scenario.

t/n: Her older sister uploaded a statement on social media saying, "Our family will be revealing the truth about the spread of the exaggerated false information, fake content, and the criticism that crossed the line. Our family came to the judgement that the reckless, act of defamation escalated to the point where we can't condone it. We will move forward with taking civil and criminal legal action. We overlooked it and thought that Kim PD can handle this on her own but n local acquaintance, who alleged that they were ordered by the victim, began sending threatening messages and 40 phone calls starting from the 30th. (t/n: local as in someone living in Korea)." The sister then shared the photo below.

"Answer your phone"
"You're hiding behind your husband and disturbing him. Don't inconvenience your husband, who's a public figure, and resolve your issues on your own. I'm giving you an opportunity so answer your phone."
"Take down the Nate Pann post"
"You said you were going to apologize directly to the victim but you upload a post like that on Nate Pann"
"Answer your phone, kiwi bird-nim"

The sister continued, "We cannot tolerate someone using anonymity to repeatedly spread false information and personally attacking my sister while seriously damaging her honor. We're planning on securing evidence and actively suing with judicial authorities. There will be no agreements or leniency for all of the actions." According to fire authorities, around 2:52 AM, her family discovered Kim PD after her sui*cide attempt and made a report. She was later transferred to a university hospital via ambulance. An official from the hospital said, "After she was transferred to the emergency room, she recovered and was moved to the general ward." At the time - her consciousness wasn't clear, her breathing, pulse, and other vitals were normal. At the site, they found a medicine packet.

1. [+13644 / -660] From the start, she didn't have the intent to die
↪ [+511 / -17] Pretending to commit sui*cide is foolish. She, herself, knows best that if she uploads an apology statement, that already means that she can't deny it and that's why she wrote it. But do you think the victim would forgive you if you upload one reflection statement, they would get more annoyed

2. [+9255 / -189] The victims would've suffered more... So you're saying that the small splinter in your finger is more painful that the big nail embedded in someone's hand...
↪ [+86 / -2] It might be because she's a PD but she's dramatic
↪ [+343 / -14] If someone doesn't answer the phone, it's plausible to call multiple times. I've called over one hundred times to buy masks, does that mean that I terrorized a public shop? How is that text message a threat;; Did they say that they'll do something to you if you don't answer the phone or come find you...
↪ [+125 / -1] Her production ability is good ㅋㅋㅋ Doing the opening with a sui*cide show... The plot development is suing and the ending is cosplaying as a victim
↪ [+303 / -1] This is something I've felt with 'Omniscient Interfering View' in the past but it feels like the perpetrators can't feel anything because they think it's something that happened in the past and because it was so long ago. So that's why they come out on TV~ Because for the perpetrators, it's really a past event. But from the victim's perspective, the suffering is 'ongoing'. Because if you suffer something like that during puberty, the time where you form your identity, you become intimidated of people and trauma remains so that when you're socializing, it (the trauma) keeps following you so it's 'ongoing' for the victim for the rest of their life.

3. [+8745 / -151] This is ridiculous.... Things like threatening messages are wrong but you bullied someone during their school years, an important time for a person, and I don't think you demonstrated that you were sincerely reflecting. I suffered a lot from bullying during my school years so seeing an article like this made me mad. Have you considered the victim's position? The suffering victim must've had a hard time because of the mental abuse but how are you highlighting your own suffering.. If you didn't commit school violence from the get-go then this situation wouldn't have even occurred
↪ [+280 / -4] That's what I'm saying. When I was in high school, a close friend of mine began spreading fake rumors behind my back and I was ostracized. Because of that shock, I retook my college entrance exams and I still can't forget that shock. Nonetheless, they're saying that this person even committed physical assault. I don't understand how she can do that at a young age

4. [+4221 / -44] Let's live nicely - if you do something bad, it will come back to you

5. [+3315 / -46] Normally 1. If someone was determined to commit sui*cide and attempted sui*cide then they're corpse would be discovered, 2. a person with a weak mentality can't even bully others, 3. if their daughter was unconscious then they would be bawling and things would be crazy for them, they wouldn't have the ability to do interviews and announce that they will be taking legal action, there's a high chance that this is a show

6. [+2781 / -15] If you received 40 calls and didn't answer it then mean that you were avoiding contact from the victim when you said that you were going to directly apologize to them?

1. [+7081 / -497] Hospitalized at the general ward = putting on a show
Are you threatening that if they lift a finger, they'll die?
Do you know how much the victims wanted to die after they were under the light of your cigarettes.. Do you think only the victims will have the desire to die? Do you think your desire to die is in the same context as the victims'?

2. [+7072 / -370] You're selfish until the very end..... You're killing the victim twice..

3. [+5938 / -332] Show? Is this a flipped situation that's variety PD-like? ㅋ

4. [+801 / -22] I knew this would happen. She was admitted to the general ward as soon as she got to the hospital ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ You're putting on quite a show. When you began advertising on social media that you were going to commit sui*cide ㅋㅋㅋ Who advertises their sui*cide ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ You should've put on a show where you were kneeling and asking for forgiveness instead. She's really ridiculous *sigh*

5. [+703 / -14] Daebak ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Their threat is insane.... I really feel bad for the victim....

6. [+682 / -13] She's a scary woman. It's gonna be a big deal if Lee Won Il gets married.

7. [+536 / -14] Well.... I'm thinking that she's putting on a show

If you or someone you know needs to talk to someone, please do not hesitate to seek help. Here is a link to the The International Association for Suicide Prevention's website that provides you with a list of international hotlines that you can call.

I'm going to be real honest right now...
Translating many of these comments felt f*cking gross.
I've lost friends in high school and college because of suicide and it's never easy to cope with because you always get left feeling like you could've done something to help them more.

I was bullied in the past.
Sometimes it was physical, many times it was mental and emotional.
Some kids are fucking mean and cruel. That's a fact.
I also realized that it's common for people to ostracize someone at a workplace.
Some humans are f*cking disgusting and f*cked up, even if they're adults.

Even if you go to therapy to deal with the past, you constantly feel cautious of trusting people too much and being worried that your trust will be betrayed or used against you. You doubt your self-worth and left always wondering if something's wrong with you
That trauma from bullying and being ostracized sticks with the victim.

I understand why some people might be pessimistic regarding this situation with Kim Yoo Jin PD but I really don't think this is something that should be taken lightly.
If something deserves to be criticized then people should leave criticism.
But for things like this, people should focus on recovery so that her and the other party can come to a resolution.

Just wanted to share my two cents....

[Article Translation] Chef Lee Won Il's fiancée Kim Yoo Jin PD accused of being a violent school bully, couple quits the show 'Don't Be Jealous'

Original Source (Yonhap News via Naver News): Kim Yoo Jin PD-Lee Won Il bow their heads at the school violence allegations..."We will apologize directly"

NOTE: In December, Chef Lee Won Il announced his engagement to Kim Yoo Jin, a freelancer PD for the variety show 'Omniscient Interfering View.' The couple came out together on the show 'Don't Be Jealous' where real-life celebrity couples showed an inside look at their relationship. On the show, this couple showed themselves preparing for their upcoming wedding.

On the 21st, a user uploaded a post on Nate Pann titled, "The soon-to-bride PD who is told she looks like a celebrity on 'Don't Be Jealous' is an attacker of a group assault". The OP wrote that in 2008 in Auckland, New Zealand, she was a victim of a group assault that involved 8 to 10 people and one of those people was Kim Yoo Jin PD. The OP provided a detailed report of the incident. The OP also added,"There are comments saying that I uploaded this post because I'm jealous of Kim Yoo Jin PD. I'm not a person that's jealous of fame. I uploaded this post because she never apologized to me and it was hard for me to watch her being happy on the show." (t/n: In the Nate Pann post, the OP provided screenshot of places on Google Maps and wrote a detailed report of how she was physically assaulted by Lee Yoo Jin PD and her group of friends)

After the OP uploaded their post on Nate Pann, chef Lee Won Il announced via his agency that the couple will be leaving the show and on his Instagram account, he uploaded an apology letter that was written by the couple. In his apology note, Lee Won Il wrote, "I would like to deeply bow and apologize for the discomfort that was caused by the controversy that involves my fiancée. Regardless of the truth, my heart is heavy that [our appearance] reminded someone of their past wounds. I apologize for causing so much worries."

Kim Yoo Jin PD wrote in her apology statement, "Regardless of the truth, I would like to sincerely apologize to the victims who were hurt by my actions and who weren't able to forget the pain for a long time. I will directly reach out to them [the victims] and apologize. Although you might be too angry to face me, I hope you can give me the opportunity to apologize to you sincerely."

The OP of the post is currently living in New Zealand. In 2008, the OP was 16 years old and alleged that she was physically assaulted by a group that consisted of Kim Yoo Jin PD and her friends. The OP heard something about Kim PD's boyfriend B and another boy C. She said things began to happen after Kim PD's friends forced the OP to tell them what it was.

After C heard about the things that were being said about him, he threatened OP by saying, "I'm going to screw up your life to the point where you can't keep your head up." OP claims that they told her that they will arrange a place for her to apologize and told her to come to the Aotea Square.

OP claims that at Aotea Square, she was slapped with Kim PD's slipper and after she collapsed, they started to beat her up. OP also wrote, "A few weeks later, I went to the city and went to the parking lot where the perpetrators were at. 8-10 perpetrators were there and gathered up. They said, "Why are you going around saying things like that?" and began shoving me and slapping my cheek. They took me to a noraebang (karaoke) after people began staring. While they were singing, they began hitting my head and my abdominal area."

After getting beaten up at the noraebang, they took her back to the parking lot and Kim PD who saw OP said, "I didn't have plans of doing this. My friends are a bit like that. You messed with the wrong person and just think of it as if you stepped on poop (had shitty luck) and don't show your face in the city again."

After this assault, OP developed depression, couldn't attend school that much and began receiving psychiatric treatment. OP wrote, "The leader Kim PD never apologized to me and returned to Korea."

In their original post, the OP also posted screenshots of her messages with her friends from this time and asked things like if they remember her getting beaten up and the friends would respond and confirm that they do and they can't forget that. A few days after the reports came out, OP uploaded screenshots of messages she received from Kim Yoo Jin PD on Kakaotalk but people pointed out how although Kim Yoo Jin said she's sorry, she kept using 반말 (informal way of speech, usually used between close friend, in a relaxed setting or used when talking down to someone who's younger) while the victim was being formal while using 존댓말 (formal way of speech, showing respect). Commenters were saying that the PD was being rude even with the apology and felt like she was just trying to get this whole situation over with.

1. [+10801 / -34] Why are you disregarding the truth? If it's the truth then it's the truth~~ Their apology sounds like they're just apologizing although it's not the truth~~ They're both the same~~ *tsk tsk*

2. [+5274 / -22] "Regardless of the truth... I'm sorry..." Is this supposed to be an apology ㅋㅋ It's not the truth but you want to meet in person and apologize? Relearn Korean.

3. [+3918 / -14] ㅋㅋ;; They wanted you to apologize but you write: "Regardless of the truth" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you're not going to address the truth then is there a point of apologizing??;; Aren't you apologizing because it [the allegations] is the truth? If not, if it's completely false then it's obvious that you don't need to apologize. But you're apologizing because it's the truth ㅋ But "regardless of the truth"? Till the very end, you're mocking and looking down on the victim ㅋㅋ I don't consider you guys as people who are uneducated so you lack word choices.. ㅋ

4. [+2355 / -14] The world is quite unfair, it's a world where the perpetrators live well

5. [+2079 / -26] Why is Kim Yoo Jin using the words, "Regardless of the truth"... Because it's 100% the truth, you should definitely acknowledge it and apologize for your mistake

Original Source (JoongAng Ilbo via Naver News): Variety shows are getting an increase in appearances from non-celebrities...They're shaking in fear about their past school violence affairs

1. [+9946 / -24] Don't try to apologize sincerely with "Regardless of the truth". Address the truth or sue for slander. If it's the truth then sincerely apologize. But since you already said you're apologizing sincerely regardless of the truth.... I can't sense your sincerity.

2. [+7256 / -23] Young people, watch carefully and remember. If you commit bad actions like hitting your friends or bothering them, then later on when you become an adult or someone who some people become jealous of, you need to understand that everything can come crumbling down in a minute because of that bad things you committed when you were younger...

3. [+3021 / -26] Kim Yoo Jin said that she's gonna apologize but says, "Regardless of the truth"... Hmm.... It seems like she didn't have any intention of apologizing and just wanted to sweep over the current situation. It wasn't that she just hit one or two people, she was like on the level of a gangster. Look at her face, she looks vicious...
↪ [+246 / -0] When they said school violence, I thought it was her ostracizing someone or bullying/teasing them but she called over her boyfriend and his friends to beat up the victim. She and her group of 8-10 friends mocked the victim and attacked her, isn't that a crime and not just school violence?

4. [+2728 / -16] "Regardless of the truth...." These words are a bit iffy

5. [+1601 / -7] Kim Yoo Jin wrote in her statement that she's going to apologize to the victim but she wrote, "Regardless of the truth"?? What is she saying??

t/n: Just to clarify, this is a screenshot from one of the first episodes of the show. This aired before the allegations came out. She cried because she revealed that she's sensitive of how people view the couple's age difference. He's 40 and she's 29.
Original Source (Hankyoreh via Naver News): Kim Yoo Jin PD who's suspected of committing 'school violence' uploads a written apology...Also quits the variety show

1. [+5528 / -28] "Regardless of the truth, my heart is heavy that [our appearance] reminded someone of their past wounds."... Seeing the prerequisite, they must have not come to senses, huh? It's not too late for this chef, he should think hard about this marriage ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+2935 / -22] "Regardless of the truth"??? Why is it regardless of the truth, you crazy woman.. Her apology was wrong from the get-go.....

3. [+2652 / -14] You can say that a perpetrator of school violence is a real devil... They ruin one person's life and they live their life without realizing their mistakes... School violence is still occurring now but they think that if you apologize later, it will wrap it up... I think that we should really banish perpetrators of school violence from society.

4. [+1844 / -24] She's the type of person who will go and pull her mother-in-law's hair if her husband does something she doesn't like. Young people, watch carefully - if you immaturely both your friends or assault them, this will come out in 10-15 years. So be cautious of committing school violence.

5. [+1652 / -55] If it was the guy (Lee Won Il) who did this, groups of people will denounce it and they would break off the engagement but because it's the girl, people are just letting it go... If I was Won Il, I wouldn't look back and just break off the engagement... People never change easily...

[Article Translation] Actor Lee Shin Young's agency denies bullying rumors, some commenters have a hard time believing the denial

NOTE: On February 4th, an official from Lee Shin Young's agency Forest Entertainment said to TV Report, "The claims about Lee Shin Young and school violence is untrue." The claims arose when a post went viral on an online community. The original post was titled: "Proof that one of the actors in 'Crash Landing on You' is an iljin." (t/n: the post is no longer available so the info regarding the post and screenshot I'm getting is from Hankyung)

In the original post, the OP wrote: "There's an iljin amongst one of the actors in 'Crash Landing on You'. I went to the same middle school as him but I'll only list the things I've witnessed as fact.

1. In Year 1 during break time, he assaulted a classmate because he was staring at him (he kicked the classmate, who was sitting down, three times). His iljin friends gathered and they verbally assaulted the classmate.

2. His friends (iljins) gathered in the bathroom and they forced the student to TW: [masturbate] and they laughed while they watched

3. He and his friends, who were classmates, gathered and the three of them bullied the student in the classroom

There probably isn't a kid from our area that doesn't know his name. He changed his name since high school and he was able to rise to the position he is now.

The OP proved that he went to the same school as Lee Shin Young by posting graduation photos. On the original post, some commenters said that they also went to the same school and commented, "It's true, he was an iljin." Also comments on the post included, "If he really was a perpetrator of school violence, he needs to quit the leading role he has planned for after 'Crash Landing on You'", "How is graduation photos considered proof?", "If you write the wrong things, you'll automatically be sued for defamation but there's no reason to lie in such details."

You can read the agency's full statement and the apologies of the OPs here.

1. [+3564 / -180] I can understand him hitting them, him smoking and being a delinquent - you can pass it off as him being immature and not knowing any better, but forcing someone to TW: masturbate, I can't..... The picture of that can't leave my mind. Is that for real? I'm all upset [about it].
↪ [+305 / -2] It's more of a disadvantageous battle for the victim. If this was true, the agency and Lee Shin Young's acquintances would be putting more pressure and if we don't support the victim then it's a situation where it's inevitable for them to lose. The victim needs to testify by themself but to collect evidence back then when they were getting bullied, it's easier said than done... It's not like they were looking forward to the future either.
↪ [+274 / -0] You can understand him physically assaulting him? School violence is a deed that is not understandable. For example, Young B also was a bully but no one was understanding and they're shitting on him so much
↪ [+201 / -0] How can you be understanding of him physically assaulting someone?

2. [+1750 / -22] The person who throws the punch doesn't remember - the victims' testimony is so vivid

3. [+922 / -28] We're waiting for you to release your position to clarify the situation with facts only. You'll know better than anyone that nothing good comes out of trying to idly wait for the thing to blow over.

4. [+743 / -12] You're asking who hasn't behaved like that during their school years? There are more people who didn't bully others and lived faithfully, don't try to generalize it. Some of you are asking why they are trying to hold someone back because of things like this? Are you asking if people who were involved in school violence shouldn't even dream about becoming a celebrity? Yes. Someone who has bullied others in the past and hurt others doesn't have the right [to dream of becoming a celebrity]. Being a celebrity is a job where you live and work off of the attention and love of many people. Furthermore, you can't easily forget the scars that you received during those times. Don't treat other people's wounds lightly.

5. [+626 / -5] TW: He forced them [the victim] to masturbate in front of others and watched until they ejaculated and laughed. There's school violence but isn't this totally sexual abuse??? All the school kids are writing it in their own handwriting and proving it with their yearbook ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ What is he going to do?

Original Source (OSEN via Naver): [Exclusive] Netizens who claimed that Lee Shin Young participated in school violence, goes back on their claims + apologizes, "My memories were distorted...I'm sorry and I regret it"

t/n: You can read the agency's full statement and the apologies of the OPs here.

1. [+3154 / -179] I smell a settlement
↪ [+301 / -31] When the agency released a statement that he wasn't involved in school violence, y'all said to give evidence but now that the netizen apologized and took back their claims, you're suspicious that they received a settlement... Isn't it just lodged in your head that Lee Shin Young is a school violence perpetrator??

2. [+1634 / -33] A person who was born in 1998 has distorted memories about middle school? Do they have dementia?

3. [+1212 / -58] He didn't take part in it (the bullying/school violence) but he wrote a statement like a loach, saying that's he's sorry but how is it that the kids who made posts apologize saying that their memories were distorted and they changed their claims this fast and they even confirm it earnestly saying that it's not true? And the agency released their statement after the netizens who made the school violence claims took back their words... It's in the correct order, the time line is insane

4. [+781 / -42] Did he and his agency bring it to an end?

5. [+551 / -43] Wow money is the best

6. [+217 / -6] No but if it was false information, they'd know that they'd be sued but they all proved it with their graduation photos and claimed that they were victims but suddenly their memories were distorted? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's quite... strange

7. [+181 / -18] They 100% came to a settlement~!

[Article Translation] Bullies order over 30 servings of sweet and sour chicken to victim's home

t/n: A post titled 'Bullies ordered 330,000 won (as of 12/26 - that's $284.54) worth of sweet and sour chicken to prank the victim' is receiving heat on the internet during Christmas. It's an incident the business owner decided to reveal after they heard about the victim's situation but many people are angered.

According to a sweet and sour chicken restaurant at Budang in the Gyeongi province, the day before the 25th, the restaurant received an order for 30 servings of sweet and sour chicken to be delivered to one household. Unlike usual, they called the orderer to confirm the order but the person on the other end said, "We did make the order". Instead they called the restaurant back and said, "We're going to have a lot of people over and eat it together so we want to order more and make the order so that it comes out to 300,000 won." They didn't have any other suspicions because it was Christmas Eve.

But the woman they met when they went to make the delivery said, "We didn't order it." But her expression turned gloomy when she saw that the special instructions said, 'Please say that her son John Doe ordered it.' The woman said, "My son is being bullied right now but it looks like the bullies ordered it as a prank." She made the entire payment for the order so that it doesn't inconvenience the restaurant and because they couldn't eat all of the food, she asked for only a portion of it and asked for them to take the rest back.

The receipt for the order. In the special instructions for the delivery, it says: Please say that their son [blurred out] ordered it.

With a heavy heart, the business owner decided to post about this situation to a forum/community that they're active on, 'Clien'. The owner wrote that they will give out the sweet and sour chicken for free, the one that the victim's mother did not accept. They also wrote that they would like to help the victim and asked for help on how they can support them.

Afterwards, with the advice of many of the commenters, the business owner cancelled the entire payment on the mother's credit card and they decided to sue the people who made the order because of obstruction/interference with business.

This post spread to many communities/forums. Many people thanked the business owner for not letting this behavior slide. The business owner revealed the side of the victim by writing, "After speaking with the victim's mother on the phone, the victim is 20 years old and the bullies are 21 and 24 years old, they're not minors. They got to know each other in high school and they've been bullying him up until now." The victim's side speculated that the perpetrators did this in retaliation because before this, there was an incident where the perpetrators opened a cellphone account under the victim's name and extorted millions of won and they (the victim's side) was going to report them.

The business owner wrote, "There are a lot of people who are worried that this might harm the business but I hope more people learn about this so that the perpetrators can get proper punishment."

1. [+20057 / -21] The fact that the perpetrators are adults who are 21 years old and 24 years old is more legendary...;; For the Earth, these perpetrator bastards need to just die....

2. [+8856 / -31] Please, please make sure that they get punished! I'm sincerely supporting it

3. [+6156 / -34] Now that they are adults, they can go to jail

4. [+3869 / -24] Sue them and teach them that life isn't a joke... They'll come to their senses after they get a criminal record and they screw over their life, guys like that never reflect... because starting from their personality is wrong

5. [+3063 / -159] I wish they would revive the Samchung re-education camp (t/n: here's a Wiki article about the Samchung re-education camp)

6. [+2516 / -6] Imagine how the mother felt having to see her child being ridiculed and wondering how to pay off the 330,000 won worth of the sweet and sour chicken that they sent over? The perpetrator bastards, with that start of this incident, I'm cursing you guys so that you guys live the most miserable life.

7. [+1124 / -3] The sweet and sour chicken owner did a really good job

F*ck bullies
Embarrassing how they are grown ass adults and they're still doing this shit....

[Article Translation] Kwanghee's manager Yoo Si Jong resigns after more iljin/bullying allegations surface

Kwanghee made a variety show comeback with 'Omniscient Interfering View' - which is a variety show that shows the relationship between celebrities and their managers. Kwanghee's first episode aired on the 22nd and after the episode aired, a user made a post on an online forum claiming that during their school years, the user was bullied by Yoo Si Jong who was an iljin (t/n: iljins are basically deliquents, these kids are known for drinking/smoking underage, they're rowdy and misbehave).

The original post was titled: "Hwang Kwanghee's manager who is really chilling". The user wrote: "We both attended Uijeongbu Middle School and we're both born in 1990 and 29 years old. He was one of the most notorious iljins in Uijeongbu and the other schools. It's not like I have have evidence that I was beaten, the only evidence I have is my sad memories. My earlobe ripped after they performed wrestling moves on me. People can say that what's the point of revealing this now but this remained as a memories for me throughout my school years and follows me forever. I just want to say one thing, don't pretend to apologize and don't show up in front of me. Don't find me. I've enjoyed 'Omniscient Interfering View' since the first episode and recently Park Sung Kwang's manager Song-ie manager even came out in commercials so I thought he might be able to too so and the thought of that made my blood boil."

Kwanghee's entertainment agency Bonboo Entertainment released an official statement refuting the allegations in the original online post. Bonboo Entertainment said, "After personally checking with Kwanghee's manager, he denied being an iljin, he didn't do any of those things (from the post), and said that he doesn't recall any of those things." Bonboo Entertainment added that because of privacy laws, they're in a situation where they can't contact the original poster. They said that if the original poster contacts their agency via an email or a phone call, they'll formally pay a visit and after hearing the whole story, they'll discuss what they can do as a company to resolve this issue.

After Bonboo Entertainment released their official statement, another netizen made allegations against Yoo Si Jong. On the 26th, the second netizen made a post on an online forum titled: "Kwanghee's manager is really an iljin". The second netizen said that they graduated in the 56th graduating class of Uijeongbu Middle School and wrote this post because they got mad after reading Bonboo Entertainment's clarification statement. The second netizen wrote, "I reread what the other victim wrote after Bonboo Entertainment refuted allegations that he's not an iljin after personally checking with him. After seeing various comments saying, it's lame exposing something that happened 10 years ago or there's a reason they're an outcast, it wasn't a sight to see." The netizen added, "They're were a lot of so-called notorious iljins at Uijeongbu Middle School and Seo Middle School and at Uijeongbu Middle School, the group Yoo Si Jong in was the most notorious. I can't say my memories are exact because I didn't suffer directly but I'm certain he picked on kids who weak and looked gentle. I don't want him to leave 'Omniscient Interfering View. The only proof I have is my memories so it can be buried but he needs to take responsibility for what he did. Before this follows you around for the rest of your life, be a man and apologize."

1. [+14160, -139] People don't change. They pretend like they do so that they can live.
[+463, -2] There's a reason they're an outcast?? One of the most common reasons the perpetrators pick on the victims is just because, just because they're weaker than them

2. [+10148, -140] I hope more cases come out where an individual's remaining long life gets ruined because of the bad things they committed during their short, teenage years.

3. [+6580, -88] Kwanghee can get hurt too... Change his manager and don't come out on TV... School violence is a one of the most vicious crimes amongst crimes...

4. [+4477, -55] It's forever a wound for the victim.. For the perpetrator, it's a memory of them being well off during good times

5. [+3898, -57What goes around comes around... (t/n: They're saying karma's a bitch)

1. [+11950, -54] He's properly getting what he deserves. Kids look at this properly, don't pick on your friends because you're strong~ Life is certainly long...

2. [+5623, -36] I hope this is the opportunity that can eradicate people who think it's alright to inconvenience others while fooling around during middle and high school, I hope this shows that it can be a scarlet letter for the rest of their lives, not just in this field but in all other fields as well..

3. [+2938, -38] It feels like it was resolved relatively fast but why did you do that, I told you that it was all going to come back (t/n: They're saying what goes around, comes around)

4. [+2647, -32] You need to regularly live honorably. I think it ended up well

5. [+1997, -386] As expected.... His intention was to use Kwanghee.. (t/n: they're saying the manager is a clout seeker) You can straight up tell that his facial characteristics seem like an iljin's..
↪ [+309, -3] ㅋㅋㅋㅋ What does it mean to have facial characteristics that are iljin-like
↪ [+451, -6] It's dangerous to judge just by the face. There's an example where people were shown a picture of notorious serial killer Kang Ho Sun without revealing who it was and most people that it was a likable face. There's no such thing as a criminal-like face. (t/n: Kang Ho Sun is a serial killer who was charged for killing 10 people, you can read about it here - X (BBC News). And this is what he looks like - X

6. [+898, -9] I thought of what Bae Jung Nam said, "Even if you can't become a great person, you need to grow up upright"~ God-Jung Nam
