The interviewer wondered if he was a celebrity by nature and asked why he didn't think it was interesting to see himself on TV and Kim Joon said, "I didn't think it was interesting that I came out on TV because my mom showed me on the cellphone and then connected the phone to the TV. But it was interesting that the cellphone and TV connected."

Kim Joon showed viewers his mukbang skills whether it was eating sandwiches, hot dogs, king crab, and more. The interviewer asked if he eats well in real life and he said, "The food I ate while filming, I really enjoyed eating it. The king crab was the most delicious. I also really like king crab (t/n: pun using the Korean word for 'king crab' and 'really' LOL)." When asked what his favorite food is, "Spinach. My hyung (older brother) doesn't like vegetables but I'm good at eating vegetables." In the drama, Woo Joo ate spicy food like kimchi bean sprout porridge and yookgyejang and it left viewers worried but the actor explained that he also enjoys eating spicy food in real life. 

When asked about season 2, Kim Joon said, "I want to come out. In the first season, I came out mostly in the home and the sandwich store but if I get to come out again, I want to eat yummy food with Dad Jo Jung Suk, go play, and go on a trip."

"When I first joined the drama, I thought that the drama would do well because there's so many good seniors attached to the drama. When I auditioned, I received the script and I felt so friendly and relatable towards the character Woo Joo so I tried my best. At first, I auditioned for various characters. I auditioned for Woo Joo, Seo Joon, and Ki Joon. I was most attracted to Woo Joo's character. I think the director liked how I seem bright and my cute vibes the most. In reality, I'm not as bright or have a gentle charm like Woo Joo but my sense of responsibility is similar to him because I've promoted in the entertainment industry since I was young. Woo Joo is kind of a boring character but I'm funny. 

SKY Castle has recording a rating of 23.2% and created a nationwide syndrome but Chan Hee said, "A lot of people don't recognize me. I think they're more curious about the suspect than me so I don't really feel it (the drama' popularity)." 

According to Chan Hee, the hardest scenes to film was the kiss scene and the jail scene, the actor said, "I was so taken aback after receiving the script. I thought, are we allowed to suddenly kiss like this? I think it was a scene that was really needed and important because it was a scene where Hye Na was trying to provoke Ye Seo's jealousy. I was taken aback while filming, it was hard. I was on the receiving end but I was still nervous. I think that feeling of nervousness mixed well with the lines. I'm thankful cause she did so well. I just stayed still, Bo Ra nuna (Hye Na) did everything. For the jail scenes, I purposely licked my lips a lot and because I didn't sleep, my lips were chapped. I also told the sunbaes (about the lips and not sleeping), they said I'm someone who works hard and I'm also foolish. During that time, Lee Tae Ran sunbae was also struggling."

The topic of Lee Tae Ran, Choi Won Young, and Chan Hee's family being too idealistic came up. Especially, at the beginning, Lee Tae Ran's character was involved in a controversy for being an 'inconvenient character'. On this topic, Chan Hee said, "I thought isn't she a character that's needed in this type of society. She's a really perfect mother. Because she's so perfect, I think the viewers felt somewhat of a difference. Isn't good to have a perfect person like that. My mother is a warm person. She's an active person. Even the script feels harmonious but because we also act like that so it feels too much so we talked often about how we have to do lines where we spit things out. Lee Tae Ran also said similar things. I took in the sunbaes' words. I received a lot of help from the two of them. I asked for advice for the scene where I break the flower pot, they told me, "Put in strength in the line you want." I put in strength in the line, "Dad, you're the one who killed Hye Na" so I think that's why it felt animated so I was happy." 

When asked what kind of son he is in real life, Chan Hee said, "To be honest, I'm not a great son. I don't call often but I do think about my mother often but there hasn't been a lot of times where I travel with her. If time allows it, I want to spend a lot of time with my parents and sibling. I wasn't good at studying. In elementary school, I got 100s on midterms and finals but the score went down a bit after I entered middle school."

The ratings for the premiere was 1% but I believed in the script's strength. Starting from episode 2, the ratings shot up and it's still doing well till now. Yum Jung Ah played a big role. If it wasn't for Yum Jung Ah, I think 'SKY Castle' would've gone down a different path. As Yum Jung Ah accurately established the character, the other characters were able to get established. Just like how it's the beginning that is important when you build a pretty tower, Yum Jung Ah was able to stack up the stepping stones well. 

In the interview, Jo Jae Yoon praised child actors Lee Yoo Jin, who plays his son Soo Han, and Lee Ji Won, who plays Kang Ye Bin, "Lee Yoo Jin said that 'SKY Castle' is his debut work but he performed that well. The producer said that he meticulously did the audition and he said he was surprised because he even resembles me. If I had to choose first place, I would say it's Lee Ji Won. Song Gun Hee who participated in the interview while the drama is currently airing said, "I'm happy I was able to be a part of a good drama. I don't know what's going to happen but I would like to do it well until the end." 

'SKY Castle' receives a lot of attention with every episode, so how do the actors feel about the popularity? Song Gun Hee said, "At the beginning, I was going to the set and home so I didn't realize the popularity. When I ride the bus or subway, people around me notice me and say, "Oh, it's Young Jae!" When that happens, I think that 'SKY Castle' is really popular."

When asked if he expected to get the role, he said, "Not at all. I didn't even think I'd get it. I thought, let's just do the best I can do. When I went to the second round of auditions, I was honestly greedy and really anxious. But I think I was able to follow the director's instructions well. [Post-Drama Interview] Kim Dong Wook reveals that he thought about giving up on acting

Q. What are your feelings on wrapping up 'Hand: The Guest'? 

Kim Dong Wook: I feel extremely relieved. It was a drama that wasn't very easy. I'm glad it wrapped up safely and I'm relieved.

Q. With your response, I feel 'relief' more strongly than 'regret'. Was filming that hard?

Kim Dong Wook: Starting from June, we filmed for around 5 months but it was a hard time physically and emotionally. A scene is a scene but it was hard expressing the character Hwa Pyung's feelings. There were a lot of emotional scenes that were really deep and there were many times where I was emotionally worn out because there were a lot of scenes that were heavy and had scary vibes. There were a lot of times when we filmed during the late night and there were a lot of action scenes so it was physically hard too.    

Q. Aren't you happy because as tiring as it was filming, the results were just as good?

Kim Dong Wook: After the drama aired episode 1 and 2, I heard people around me say: "I can't watch it because it's scary". The thing I'm grateful towards the director for is that he maintained the drama's color/identity with perseverance until the end. If he considered ratings and other external factors, we might've been able to compromise but because we didn't, I feel like we were able to see this drama's own charms. I also think that the drama receiving good reactions until the end is because of factors like that.    

Q. Did you know who Park Il Do was when joining the drama?

Kim Dong Wook: It wasn't that we knew until the end but, the three main leads knew who Park Il Do kinda was. I also found out about how they were going to reveal that at the ending after reading the script. I received a lot of contact from my friends with them asking me who Park Il Do is. There was also a person who said, "If you don't tell me, I'm going to end our friendship." My parents also asked. Every time they asked, I would send them a smiling emoticon and replied, "Please watch live until the very end". (laughs)   

Q. "It's his life character", "I knew Kim Dong Wook was good at acting but I didn't know he was this good", "His acting rose" and more good comments poured out. How does it feel getting your acting acknowledged?

Kim Dong Wook: It's really good. I'm thankful. It makes me think whether or not it's the greatest compliment. I don't know if other words can express this feeling. I want to just use all good words. It's really good, I'm happy, and I'm thankful - those words might be average but at this moment, those [words] are my most honest expressions. 

Q. Did you originally like the exorcism genre?

Kim Dong Wook: I don't like it at all. I'm also scared. With our [drama], it was alright because I watched it while knowing the plot. (laughs)

Q. In 'Along with the Gods', you had the role of an evil spirit so you put on makeup all over your body, in this role as well, you were possessed by an evil spirit so visually, you had shocking makeup. 

Kim Dong Wook: So the skin of my face and body is all ruined. Jokingly, I said, "In exchange for the love I received from fans while doing this drama, I lost my health and skin." I think I need to spare some time to recover.

Q. You met Kim Jae Wook who played the role of Choi Yoon, 11 years after 'Coffee Prince'. How is it seeing Kim Jae Wook again? 

Kim Dong Wook: He's the same. It was really comfortable seeing a friend again whom you made during the immature period where you filmed while not knowing much. We joked around a lot and we shared a lot of worries while discussing about things related to acting. We have confidence in each other. That's why whatever that friend does or whatever way he acts, we trust in each other and film while relying on each other. And if a scene we worried about together comes out nicely, we feel joy. As an actor, Jae Wook-ie, his attention is really good. Rather than depending on the talent he has, he's a friend who continues to worry over it and as an actor, he wants to show something more. While filming this time, I depended on him a lot.  

Q. How was your teamwork with Jung Eun Chae who played the role of Jang Kil Young? 

Kim Dong Wook: If it wasn't Eun Chae, it would've been hard to pull this drama to this point. She didn't emerge to the exterior that much but it was possible because actor Jung Eun Chae is quiet and endured firmly. She could've passed out because she was worn out but she never once said she was tired and she endured everything. That was a big help for the drama. I'm really thankful towards Eun Chae and I'm proud. This is something the director, Jae Wook, and I all agree on.  

Q. Since you debuted in 2004, it's been 15 years since your debut. What is the driving force that helped you endure this long period as an actor? 

Kim Dong Wook: The biggest strength was my family. At any moment, my family was the existence that gave me the most strength and they're the reason I need to live fiercely and strongly. And every time I wanted to give up, there were always people next to me who held my hand. It's not a specific person but because I had people who gave me strength during those moments [of wanting to give up], I feel like that's why I was able to endure it up until now.  

Q. Does that mean that you had moments where you wanted to give up on acting?

Kim Dong Wook: Of course. There were many times. There were times where I was able to easily pass through it and there were serious times. Those moments occasionally come. 

Q. Because you were able to endure those difficult times, don't you think that's why we were able to see you as Soo Hong in 'Along with the Gods' and Hwa Pyung in 'Hand: The Guest'. As an actor, you had an amazing 2018. This year is ending, what are your end of the year plans?

Kim Dong Wook: After finishing 'Along with the Gods 1', during an interview, I said, "I hope 2018 passes by instantly and busily" - it really feels like it passed by like that. In a split second, so many things happened. It was a year where I was thankful. For the end of the year, I don't have anything specially planned, but for now, I plan to spend it while resting.

I think he enjoyed it, he told me it was a role of a Japanese and asked me to perform the lines written in Korean in the Japanese I know. That's why I ended up with the role of Mori Takashi. 

tenasia: The director must've liked the way you spoke Japanese. 

• Kim Nam Hee: After completing the audition, the other production crew said, "Director Lee Eung Bok has never had this long of a conversation with an unknown actor before filming." They tipped me off that, "You might get the role of Takashi". I was also curious. 

tenasia: You didn't think that you were going to get the role of a Japanese, right?

• Kim Nam Hee: I didn't know at all. It was to the point where I was thinking, "Why was I chosen?". After giving me the role of Takashi, he told me that I was Eugene Choi's friend and I was going to see him again as an enemy. At that time, the script wasn't released at all. 

tenasia: Before the drama, have you ever learned Japanese?

• Kim Nam Hee: Not at all (laughs). The production staff stressed the importance of it. It might've not been their intention to burden me but they said that my co-star is Lee Byung Hun sunbae-nim and said, "Do you think you can do well?", at that time something like pride developed. I said, "Of course, I feel like it's going to be fun? I can do well"...Haha. During the first filming, I was overwhelmed by Lee Byung Hun sunbae-nim (laughs). I can't speak Japanese and because there's significance to the role, I felt special but I thought, what do I do now? I felt stuck.   

tenasia: In the future, as an actor, I'm curious about your goal and direction.

• Kim Nam Hee: I think the criteria for the next work will be if I'm going to play a bad guy or not. Next time, I hope I can play a role that speaks Korean rather than a foreign language (laughs). Who would have thought that I would talk about goals like this, I didn't know that I would be this desperate for our language. Haha. The viewers who saw Takashi must've been inscribed [by the character]. I feel like if I don't work hard enough to make them forget about Takashi then I'll be confined by Takashi for a long time. My goal is to become a star that's good at acting. I want to become an excellent actor who touches hearts.
